24 Hour Read-A-Thon-Hour 14
I am so happy that I have so many comments and now have three followers. My husband and kids left for a Halloween-birthday party and I stayed home reading. The silence...It was truly golden. And say, "was" because they are here now! I have been reading for almost three hours...but finally finished Gut Feelings by Carnie Wilson. I read a total of 202 pages...I have been reading on my bed curled up with my 15 year-old throw that reads "Book Woman". My next book will be one of the short stories in Say You are One of Them, an Oprah book club selection. I read the first story so I will read the second one and then move on to one of my TBR. Before I continue reading, I am going to be a cheerleader for awhile. It will help me keep awake and makes me very happy!
24 Hour Read-A-Thon-Hour 12
Let me honest...I have barely read a thing because I got hooked, since early this morning, on cheerleading. Also, the fact that I had to drive my kids around all day didn't help. I just can't help myself. There are so many wonderful people behind those blogs and we all share the same passion... It just pulls me! So, I made myself a promise. I am cheerleading until 8 pm and then I am reading as much as I can til' tomorrow morning...So at 8 pm, I'm continuing with Gut Feelings... I just hope it gets better.
Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon-Update-Hour 3
I have started very slowly this morning with my reading. I have been more of a cheerleader and have visted about 6 or 7 blogs. I have loved their comments and their list of books! It's funny how we readers have so many things in common and it's not just books. Once I post, I am going to take some time off from cheerleading and will be reading Gut Feelings by Carnie Wilson...I just want to finish it! I had gastric bypass surgery done over the summer and thought this book would give some insights...See you later!

Dewey's Read-a-Thon
I found this by pure accident but now I am sooo going to do it! You must participate in Dewey's Read-a-Thon on Saturday, October 24, 2009. For more information visit http://24hourreadathon.com and sign up. I am so excited to be part of an International reading community. It's exciting that a solitary activity will become a social activity for a day. I have my books next to my bed and enjoy reading everyone else's lists. See you Saturday!
